Project Roady

The Roady automotive center in Villefranche-sur-Saône (69), part of the Les Mousquetaires group, specializes in automotive maintenance and repair.

The center comprises a store and a repair workshop.

- The customer's concern -

In need of space to store its tires and store products, Roady wanted to increase the storage capacity of its storeroom without building.

- The Provost solution -

A shelf-mounted platform with walkways that takes advantage of the height of their stockroom to store and retrieve tires and products.

In line with Roady's aim to "increase storage capacity without building", we propose a high-bay racking solution that takes advantage of the height of their previously unused storage area.

Equipped with a circulation aisle level, it enables tires and automotive accessories or parts to be stored and retrieved over the full height of the installation, i.e. 5.1 meters.

"We chose Provost because our contact person was able to advise us on the layout of the storeroom, integrating our constraints. We developed the project together to bring this platform concept to fruition. We now have an ergonomic installation that saves us time on a daily basis in stock management and product research."

Philippe Heitzmann, Chairman and CEO of Sytech Roady.

Medium-heavy storage rack for tires

A modular solution that adapts to peaks in activity.

To complement the racking platform with aisles, our design office suggested installing a self-supporting PROPLUS LP3 platformto enable tire pallets to be deposited on the floor, thus freeing up floor space.

The entire installation is entirely modular, and can be adapted to the seasons and to peaks in activity; by placing a wooden panel on the stringers, the spaces reserved for tires can quickly be transformed into a picking area for maintenance products, equipment and accessories sold in-store.

An ergonomic tire hopper

Drawing on its experience in the world of automobile distribution, Provost's design office integrated an ergonomic "tire hopper" solution into the heart of the installation , to facilitate the descent of tires from the platform floor.

By avoiding the need for an operator to descend the staircase with arms loaded with tires, the risk of RSI* and falls down the stairs is reduced.
