What is inclined shelving for picking?
Inclined shelving involves fitting your racks with inclined shelves. In concrete terms, the front and rear longitudinal members are offset by 2 steps, i.e. 80mm. This is a low-cost dynamic racking solution for light storage. This solution is ideally suited to the storage of plastic bins, cardboard bins and spare parts with European standard bins. This type of equipment is used in conjunction with the FIFO (First In First Out) storage method. The use of inclined shelving offers a number of advantages, not least time savings in order picking, and a reduced risk of work-related accidents.

The installation of inclined shelving is the answer to this problem: products are more accessible thanks to the inclination, which naturally causes them to slide forward. This eliminates the need to pull bins or cartons to access products accumulated at the bottom. This reduces the need for manual handling, thus reducing the risk of RSI, as well as improving comfort for your staff.
